Anthony B. "Tony" Johnson, PGA

Head Golf Professional

Anthony B. "Tony" Johnson, Class "A" member of the PGA, came to Comanche Trace from Escondido Golf Club in Horseshoe Bay, Texas, where he served as First Assistant Golf Professional managing the golf operations of a newly developed private club. Previous to Escondido, Tony served as Head Golf Professional at the upscale daily fee club SilverHorn Golf Club of Texas (San Antonio), and First Assistant Golf Professional at The Club at Sonterra (San Antonio). Tony is an accomplished player, finishing 16th in the 2007 National Assistants Championship, 39th in the 2007 PGA National Championship, and 10th in the 2007 Southern Texas PGA Section Championship. Tony brings not only his deep love of the game but also a high standard of customer service to the Club at Comanche Trace.

Scott Parker Image

Scott Parker

Certified Golf Course Superintendent

Scott Parker, certified golf course superintendent, graduated from Mississippi State University in 1981, (cum laude) with a B.S. degree in Turfgrass Management. He served as Assistant. Superintendent at Brookhaven Country Club for three years and Dallas Country Club for three years. Scott became the "Grow-in Superintendent" at Southern Trace Country Club in Shreveport, LA and was involved with the initial construction and opening of the course in 1988. Scott returned to Dallas Country Club and served an additional 10 years as the Superintendent. In 1999, Scott arrived at Comanche Trace before construction began and has been the superintendent throughout the construction and maturation of the course until the present day. Scott and his wife, Lisa, have one daughter.

Jacob Davis Image

Jacob Davis

Assistant Golf Professional, PGA

Jacob C. Davis, PGA Golf Professional came to us from DeBary Golf & C.C. where he acted as the 1st Assistant Golf Professional. Winning numerous junior golf tournament allowed him the opportunity to receive golf scholarships to Brevard C.C. & Florida State University. In 2004 he won the individual Junior College National Championship for Brevard C.C. and upon graduating Brevard C.C. named their MVP award after him. In 2005, at FSU Jacob was recognized as an ACC scholar athlete and won the golden torch award for holding the highest GPA on the golf team. After graduating in 2006 he began his professional golf career at the Broadmoor Golf & C.C. Resort in Colorado Springs. At the end of the season Jacob moved back to Florida to play and quickly found himself working as assistant golf professional at Mizner C.C. of Delray Beach, FL. Later he became the Assistant golf coach/professional and adjunct teacher for his alma mater Brevard C.C. When he is not playing golf he enjoys fishing and other outdoor activities.

Colby Cobb

Assistant Golf Professional

Prior to joining Comanche Trace, Colby worked for Belfair Plantation in Bluffton, South Carolina, (2 hours south of Charleston) as an Assistant Golf Professional for over 3 years. Belfair Plantation is an 1,100 acre community with two, Tom Fazio courses, among other amenities. Having a very active and successful junior golf career, Colby received a scholarship to play golf at North Carolina State University, where she majored in Communication Media. Her freshman year she was named MVP for the team and was a Scholar Athlete her Freshman and Sophomore year. Upon graduating, she tried her hand at qualifying for the Futures Tour but quickly realized that her love for the game would lead her in another direction. In October 2007, she enrolled in the PGA PGM Program and hasn't looked back. Having directed The First Tee and LPGA USGA Girls Golf Programs in previous jobs, as well as individual lessons, she has a love for teaching and aspirations of becoming a Head Golf Professional in the near future. Colby has completed Level II in her PGA PGM Golf Professional Training Program, and is diligently working on Level III. She has won more than 30 Junior competitions, and was a member of Titleist staff. As part of her many responsibilities at Belfair, she lead a large Ladies' Golf Association, teaching clinics, organizing tournaments and giving private lessons. In her free time she enjoys working out and spending time with friends.

Anna Acker-Macosko Image

Anna Acker-Macosko, LPGA Tour Player

Teaching Professional

Comanche Trace is pleased to have LPGA Tour Member Anna Acker-Macosko on the teaching professional staff. With 15 years of professional playing experience and 12 years of teaching experience, Anna is a valuable addition to our team. Anna's career highlights include All-American Women's Golf NCAA Division I participation, Membership on the LPGA Tour 1996-2005, with five top ten finishes, and competition on several national women's professional golf tours, compiling 13 mini-tour wins.
